Like a lot of people over the age of 55, this article is intended to help those who are still looking at freedom but with a little more independence and speed. Whether you ride a standard bike or an electric bike, this is a great article for you to help you get started. You’ll learn how an electric bike works, how much they cost, and even how to take care of it.
First, you'll have a blast on your new bike. You'll get to go super-fast (like 20 miles per hour!) and feel like you're flying! Plus, it's a total blast to ride around with all your friends, switching off who's in the front and who's in the back. It feels like you're careening downhills, really making an adventure out of it. And don't worry if you're not an adrenaline junkie—you can take it easy and just cruise along at a nice, comfortable speed for as long as you want. It's totally up to you!
Second, electric bikes are great for your wallet. These bikes only cost about $1,000 (compared to $4,000+ for a car), so they save a lot over time compared to having to buy gas or repair your old car. And they save on insurance rates because they're far safer than cars—you don't have to worry about hitting pedestrians or other cars as much when you ride one of these around! They also require less maintenance than cars do—no oil changes or tune-ups necessary!
Electric bikes are awesome for seniors, but not just because they help you out of the house and into the world. Electric bikes can do so much more than that.
Electric bicycles offer more than just a more convenient mode of transportation. They also offer a safer and more comfortable ride because they reduce the effort that is needed to travel a given distance. In some situations, getting around by bike may even be as useful as driving an automobile, as was the case with my wife’s grandmother who lived in a rural area and had no need for a car.
In fact, her first use of an electric bike was at age 76 when she began using her bike again after decades of not riding one. Want to see our vast line of e-bikes?
